Twinkle Finance ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use Twinkle Wallet ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Data Collection
- Transactional Data: We extract transactional data from your Gmail account, including details of purchases and receipts.
- Profile Data: You provide personal profile information during account creation and management, including details you may input and data from third-party services (e.g., SSO providers).
- Data from Third Parties: If you use third-party services (e.g., merchants or payment providers like Square, Apple Pay, Shopify), we may receive data from these sources to enhance your experience.
2. Data Usage
- Transactional Data: We use the transactional data from your Gmail account to generate insights and analytics about your spending behavior, which may be aggregated for advertising and inventory trend purposes.
- Profile Data: We use profile data to personalize your experience within the Service, including providing relevant recommendations and insights based on your transactions and preferences.
- Third-Party Sharing: We share aggregated and anonymized data with third parties, such as merchants and Point of Sale providers (e.g., Square, Toast, Apple Pay, Google Pay), to improve the services offered through Twinkle. These third parties are bound by legal contracts and Twinkle’s API terms to ensure your data is handled securely and responsibly.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: Raw transactional data is retained for 90 days, while analytics and aggregated data may be stored for up to 5 years. After this period, personally identifiable information is removed and replaced with a random identifier to maintain privacy.
- Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data through the Profile Management section or by contacting us at support@twinkle.finance. At this time, data export is not available.
4. Data Security
- Encryption: We use encryption at rest to protect your data stored on our servers.
- Access: All data is transmitted securely over network connections. Access to your profile data is restricted to you alone, and multi-factor authentication is required for account access.
5. Third-Party Data Sharing
We share anonymized, aggregated data with third parties for advertising and inventory recommendations. These third parties are required to follow legal contracts that restrict how your data can be used, and we only share data in ways that ensure individual users cannot be identified. Data is shared with third parties only when minimum thresholds are met to prevent correlation with specific consumers.
6. Your Rights
- Access and Deletion: You can request access to or deletion of your personal data by using the Profile Management section or emailing support@twinkle.finance.
- Opt-Out: Twinkle Wallet does not offer an opt-out from data sharing or processing practices related to advertising, as the platform relies on data aggregation to support its free service.
7. International Data Transfers
All data is stored and processed within the United States. We do not transfer data outside of the U.S. and comply with applicable U.S. data protection laws.
8. Children’s Privacy
Twinkle Wallet is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Service after these changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
